Once upon a time, there was a really cool web page called An Angeleno in Hell. It's gone from the web now, but the author nearly perfectly captured the flavor of being native of Los Angeles living in the Bay Area.

Then came one of the coolest sites on the web: the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, a library of over 273 billion web pages, including old versions of existing pages -- and sites that have long since disappeared. Which means you can again read An Angeleno in Hell by clicking here and following links for the year 2000.

Don't get me wrong, the City (as San Francisco is called--and, yes, the capital "C" in "City" is pronounced) has its nice points. But Los Angeles and the San Francisco are like oil and water. It's okay for a few moments. But after that, . . . well, I'm an LA boy.

So, now you can close this page or
go back to my home page.
